The short answer is yes: alcohol consumption is allowed, but with special stipulations. Please refer to our Alcohol Policy for more information.

Additionally, you can book any day other than Friday and Saturday and receive a significant rate reduction. Refer to our Pricing Table to view these rates.

And for nonprofit organizations, we offer a 30% discount on The Jackson’s Standard Event venue rental fee. The definition of a non-profit is one which is exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code. Only a 501(c)(3) written on a Jacksonville address will be considered for a local non-profit. Please refer to our Nonprofit Policy document for more info, or contact us to inquire.

In 2023, the City of Jacksonville purchased the former clubhouse at the Cherokee Ranch Golf Course and converted it into a facility with rental space for local and out of town events.

Under the City’s management, the primary goal in taking on this large-scale renovation has always been to provide a community resource, not to pursue profit. As such, the principles and pricing structure of The Jackson allow much greater flexibility and value to those needing a location for an event. These perks include seldom-seen options among wedding venues, such as refundable deposits, customizable payment plans, and simplified agreements.

Additionally, The Jackson at Cherokee Ranch is wholly funded through Hotel Occupancy Tax dollars. Every time someone stays in Jacksonville hotels, they pay a 9% Hotel Occupancy Tax. These funds are dedicated to driving Jacksonville tourism.

The Jackson is a standalone facility and rental agreements do not include the use of the golf course or the grounds in general (outdoor weddings, etc.). However, The Cherokee Ranch Golf Club is open to the public, so you and your guests can incorporate those activities into your event agenda by prior arrangement with the Golf Club. The Jackson offers a projector, screen, and speakers for presentations, videos, and audio content.

Our corporate / meeting room features a wall-mounted TV, with a roll-in TV and portable projector screen available for our ballroom, lobby and other areas within The Jackson.

You may also choose to bring their own audio-visual equipment to supplement the provided equipment.

Our venue does not maintain an on-site catering kitchen. As such, clients will need to select their preferred  caterer to prepare and serve food at our facility. And, if you use a caterer based within the city limits of Jacksonville, we will give you a 2% discount on all rates if you use a Jacksonville-based vendor.

You may cancel at any time, but the refund amount will be determined by how close your cancellation date is to your event date.

The security deposit is refundable, and may be transferred to a different date (if requested before 90 days of the event date), with the approval of the Center Manager in writing.

After 90 days, the Client may be asked to provide another 30% security deposit to secure the new date.
